Handed down from my mother. This is a great salad for onion lovers and even those who don't care much for onions. I always get requests for this recipe. I prefer served at room temperature, but it holds well in the fridge a couple of days. Goes with any meal.

Grew up eating this with a fried fish meal. The only difference from my mother's recipe is the use of poppy seeds instead of celery seed. I use either red onions or vidalia. Love it as a nice contrast to the fried meal. Read More
