  1. Bring water, vinegar, garlic, pickling spice, salt, and red pepper flakes to a boil in a large pot; add mushrooms. Boil until mushrooms are softened, about 2 minutes. Pour mushroom and liquid into a large jar. Cover and chill for 10 hours to overnight.

Awesome. Usually a jar of mushrooms like this costs 11$ at the grocery store. These taste even better

The vinegar was overpowering, and the cider flavor just didn't go very well with these ingredients. I will try this with more of a brine next time.
