  • Heat brown sugar, cream, butter, and salt in a heavy saucepan over medium heat until butter melts, about 5 minutes; remove from heat. Mix confectioner's sugar, maple extract, and vanilla extract into the sugar mixture.

I wasn't very impressed with this. Even after chilling in freezing temperatures outside once I brought it in to sit for a few hours it was warm again which is expected but did not stay as firm as it should have. It was almost as though it could have been a spread on toast. The texture was too heavy and buttery when we tried the square. It was just okay not really what I was looking for. Read More
