What I like about this recipe is that it is super fast and easy. I did add some dried minced onion and some garlic powder. I did not pre-cook the potatoes. Instead I covered them and cooked them about 55 minutes.

These were rich and delicious. I only had one can of cream of chicken so I used a can of cream to replace since I had nothing else. I usually shy away from changing anything the first time I try a recipe, but I really wanted these and it was Christmas, I didnt want to run out! I was going to slice them at first but decided to follow the recipe and cube them, so good...this will be a staple for holiday dinners to come!
My family and I loved this. I followed the directions exactly but also stirred in leftover ham before putting it in the oven. Very good~thank you!
Simple and Delicious!! I didnt pre cook my potatos first I just sliced them and baked it for about an hour! I added a small onion and some garlic powder These turned out Fantastic! very creamy and oh sooooo yummy!!
I scaled down the recipe to feed just two. I had 1/2 of a can of cream of chicken and mushroom soup to use to I basically quartered the recipe. I also used plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I added a healthy bit of dried minced onion. The end result was very good and I would make this again. I made the mistake of starting the boiling of the potatoes too late for dinner so they didn't get quite done and I had to cut them up while still hot but that was my fault. I also did not put cheese on top of the potatoes, just dumped all of it in the mix. I think they would benefit from some bread crumbs, preferably Panko, on top but again that is personal preference. Thanks!
It was easy to put together and smelled delicious! I sliced my potatoes instead of curbing them. However, the taste was not remarkable. It was flat. Missing something, I'm not sure what but I'm definitely going to try them again and play with the ingredients. Super simple recipe!
So good and so easy. I made this to go with our Easter ham and it was a big hit. Everyone loved it. I did add some sauted onion and garlic.
I didn't have Cream of Chicken soup so I used Cream of Celery and it was delicious! My husband LOVED IT!
I thought this recipe was delicious and rich. I added a minced onion and some bacon bits. Will make it again. Everyone loved it!
This is now a favorite and easy dish for the family. I actually used one can of cream of mushroom and one can of cream of chicken. I also sprinkled a little garlic powder salt and pepper in it. Sooo good....
I used 6 lbs of potatoes and 2 bags of bacon bits. I also mashed them instead of cubing them. Great flavor, even without the bacon.
This almost exactly the same recipe I've made for years. The only difference is I use more cheese and a bunch of sliced green onions.
This was very easy and my dinner guests loved it. I served it with grilled bbq chicken and glazed carrots for Easter dinner.
My kids gobbled this up. I sliced the potatoes before boiling them and added sausage & peas. There was nothing leftover. I don't think I'll ever buy scalloped potatoes in a box again. This was so simple & so good.
Lover it easy to make its guy proof even we can't screw it up. I added bacon bits to give it crunch and a smokey taste.
I really liked how easy this recipe was. While I liked the potatoes very much, the family not so much. Added minced onion and garlic, still a little on the bland side. Needed an additional 30 minutes of cooking time. Will make again for a crowd.
Fabulous recipe! We are presently staying home as much as possible due to the global pandemic, so I searched for a potato recipe containing the ingredients I had on hand. I only made a half batch, and didn't have a can of cream of chicken soup. To make up for this, I thickened some chicken broth and stirred this into the sour cream and cheese mixture. I also added a clove of garlic. So very tasty!
Pretty good! I used my spiralizer to cut the potatoes and as others suggested, I didn't boil them first just baked in the over however it did take 1.5 hours doing it this way. Added some Parmesan cheese and a little garlic salt. Will definitely make this again.
This is an easy recipe that the family liked, however the potatoes weren't soft enough even after boiling first and then baking for 45 minutes. I will make this again, just allowing a bit more time to boil the potatoes longer.
I did not make any changes and it was a crowd pleaser. I will definitely make it again!!!
Hunks vs. slices: it’s all about the ratio of potato to sauce in each bite. This recipe is easy and delicious, but I might use slices next time.
I added garlic powder otherwise followed the recipe. Family preferred over boxed scalloped potatoes. This recipe is definitely a keeper.
This is definitely one of my new favorites! I made some blackened chicken breasts on the side and they paired perfectly together.
made as written. sorry, this was terrible. thick and gross. wasted my potatoes.
This was a last minute dish, it tasted totally Different than my regular potatoes. I added black pepper and a little less sour cream. Cindy Whalen
Absolutely fantastic and easy way of making scalloped potatoes! I sauted some onions and added them into the mix. Will definitely make this recipe again!
It was okay. The sour cream seemed to stay to itself. Too much sour cream for me.
I used cream of mushroom in place of the cream of chicken soup.
Totally a new go-to side for the non weight watchers! Delicious and not difficult. I sliced the potatoes instead of cubing for a more scalloped approach and finished the top with panko and French’s onion for extra crunch.
These are delicious! The only thing I changed was that I used defrosted frozen hash brown potatoes. It was quick and easy. Love this recipe
It was easy to make but I just wasn’t pleased with the taste or the texture. I will be looking for a different recipe.
I cut up the potatoes before boiling which made it quicker and easier. Must add green onions and then it's perfect.
I made dinner for my family and used this recipe. They all loved it. Sadly we forgot the sour cream while we were shopping for ingredients, but over all it turned out great and was a hit.
This recipe was great. I added some leftover ham and green onions and it was a big hit on the boat I work on!
First of all I wouldn't call these "Scallop Potatoes" as they are very much more like "Party Potatoes". As for the recipe itself, it wasn't great. Followed the recipe to a T, and it ended up with edible bland potatoes.
Wow! Super simple, surprisingly rich in taste. I sliced 3 potatoes and 1/2 onion in food processor. I layers half potatoes, onion, then rest of potatoes and microwaved it 3-4 minutes. I mixed 1 can cream of chicken, 1/2 c lite sour cream, and cheese as directed. Baked with cheese on top at 350 for 40 min. This one goes in my family recipe book!
Easy and delicious. Add sliced onions and minced garlic for extra flavor. Recipe is good as is though!
Easy recipe and creamy. Delicious! I made as described and only added a little cayenne pepper for some kick, and a few tablespoons of chopped green onion. Will make again, and plan to add some bacon crumbled on top. Saved as a favorite.
