I added a little extra garlic, and they came out fantastic!
Simple prep, nice presentation, pleasant flavor; that amounts to a winner for me.
Great recipe; my dinner guests all enjoyed it. I forgot to blanch the beans so I threw some water into the pan and let the beans steam for about 5 mins, then continued to cook as the recipe states. The beans turned out perfectly-with a light, crisp bite but not undercooked.
Easy, delicious and healthy. If you need more 'taste' add additional garlic, butter and/or lemon pepper. In other words, season to taste. Whole family really enjoyed this.
Easy and delicious as written
This recipe was pretty good! It wasn't the best green beans I've ever tasted, but it sure wasn't the worst!
This is an excellent way to serve green beans. I used the leftover greens beans the next day in a salad and even that added so much extra flavor to the salad.
This recipe is quick, easy and great tasting. I didn't have lemon pepper, so I sprinkled dryer lemon peel and pepper. Worked well.
Simple and tasty.
Really good! I didn’t keep the beans in the water until it boiled and instead did for just about 8 min on high then cooked by following the rest of the recipe until I liked how they tasted.
I didn't have any lemon pepper seasoning on hand so I just used pepper and lemon juice. Tasted great and super easy!
So good ! I forgot to take a picture !!! Next time !! There is none left .... I ate them all !!
These were good! I used kerrygold butter. My whole family enjoyed the bright green slightly crunchy but still moist and deliciously browned green beans
Very good. I made 1lb, we ate it. Reduce garlic to 1 large clove.
I don't care for green beans much but this was pretty good. I used garlic pepper for the seasoning since that is what I had on hand.
So simple and delicious! Instead of using lemon pepper I used salt and pepper to taste and squeezed 1/2 fresh lemon juice! Definitely making this again!
Loved these. They turned out perfect and so tasty.
Green beans were delicious! Made them as directed.
This recipe is delicious. In my house we eat clean. The simple tweak was to take out the butter and salt. I used 1/2 tsp of lemon pepper and it is delicious. It’s definiely on my meal prep rotation. Thank you for sharing!!!!
These beans were easy and delicious. I did t have lemon pepper, so I used Parmesan instead. I’ll have to try it when I buy some.
Delicious.
Thank you for this recipe.:)) It turned out great!
This was easy to make and tasted great!
Super easy super yum. I didn't have lemon pepper salt so I used pepper with lemon zest.
It’s so good and so addictive! I kept coming back to the pan to get more and more. Delicious!
I used 1 ,frozen steam in the,bag green beans from Sam's 7 mins in microwave then I mixed the ingriedent all together ,then layed in flat cookie like sheet pan in oven 425 I put ours in sprayed olive oil and butter pam spray then in sheet pan I
RAVE REVIEWS !! Served them to a dinner party of 21 people. I heard "best I ever had" more than once!
This is the way I've made fresh green beans for years and always get compliments from guest. Sometimes instead of water I use chicken broth or stock. Have also steamed the beans first till slightly tender and then finish up in the pan. Usually for seasoning I just add salt and pepper and maybe a dash of red pepper flakes. Thanks so much for posting this as it's easy and quite good!
I love the recipe, it was simple, direct and quick. I love it. Diana.
I followed this recipe almost exactly, with the exception that I added extra garlic. But I do that to everything. But my green beans were virtually raw. I like crisp, crunch green beans, but really the time to boiling and the 5 minutes of simmering was not nearly enough. I will try this again, but will double the time of cooking and hope for the best.
Everyone loved these! Went a bit lighter on the butter and garlic. Will add to our rotation for sure!
These are my new favorite way to enjoy green beans. I used vegetable broth to boil the beans and added silvered almonds. They were awesome for Thanksgiving or anytime.
Simple and delicious. Made it a few times and tonight with Salmon.
It is very easy to cook the beans too long. And, I will use much less garlic the next time I make it
Delicious! My family and guests enjoyed it.
My family loved it! We are definitely using this recipe every time we make green beans. I didn't have lemon pepper, so I used plain pepper and it still tasted good.
So delicious! Beans came out crispy and flavorful! tweaked it with fresh lemon rind and substituted butter for plant-based and olive oil.
Last night was my first time preparing beans this way and they were awesome. I boiled the beans around 10 minutes because they were still pretty undercooked at 5 minutes. I then made a garlic butter topping by melting the butter and adding a couple of teaspoons of garlic paste. I drained the pan and sauteed the beans with the garlic butter for a couple of minutes and done! I will be following this method for preparing beans from now on!
Easy and delicious
Our family loved these! I have a husband who avoids anything green if he can. He ate these, and said they were the best he's prob. had. I didn't have lemon pepper, so used real lemon. Yum!
Excellant! I didn't have fresh green beans but used 2 bags of frozen petite green beans which I microwaved till just al dente then added to the pan. They were gone in a flash and everyone wanted more. Definitely a quick wonderful way to cook green beans.
No changes to recipe. Made as stated. Delicious
Simple, fresh and darn good. Loved it.
A very nice side dish.
It was really easy to make and tasted very good.
These are delicious!
Family loved these. I didn’t use the lemon pepper.
These are pretty good and easy to make.
I have made these quite a few times, they are always delicious! This is now my go to recipe for cooking fresh green beans.
My family loves this recipe. I follow the directions and add crushed red pepper flakes. Awesomely delicious!!!
I made this for Christmas dinner. I did like somebody else had suggested and added some onion. It was very good and I will definitely make this recipe again!
I had this dish at a Chinese restaurant recently, and it was delicious, so I tried to replicate it. However, I didn’t have any lemon pepper, so I just used plain pepper. Since this turned out pretty good, but not excellent, I’ll get the lemon pepper and try again.
Excellent way to get the kids to eat veggies. Made it as is. I didn’t change a thing. They all enjoyed it very much. It’s a keeper
A wonderful green bean recipe. Definitely will make again.
Yum! Didn’t have lemon pepper so opted for ranch seasoning. Very good!
Very good! Salt was the first ingredient listed in my lemon pepper seasoning, so I did add a little salt later after tasting it. This is good as-is, but I can see sauteeing onion and mushrooms with this, too.
So easy and simple yet so tasty!
I've made this twice. Excellent both times. Very minimal seasonings on the original so you can really taste the green beans. Second time, I used chicken bouillon cube in water with some white pepper.. cooked the beans and onions about 15 minutes until most of the liquid was gone and they were tender. Then I added the butter and kept the heat pretty high and added the garlic after the butter began to brown slightly.. then a generous sprinkle of lemon pepper seasoning.. The garlic flavor is nice and strong since it's not cooked very long and you get a beautifully nutty brown butter flavor. I prefer my green beans a little softer so this works perfectly. I will make the adjusted recipe again soon.. very, very good.
I used black pepper, olive oil instead of butter, and squeezed fresh lemon just before plating
Very simple and flavorful addition to our Easter dinner. I forgot to add the chicken bouillion and lemon pepper, but no one knew! Too much going on in the kitchen!
Super easy and quick to make. My husband generally doesn’t like veggies and he loved these! I added more fresh garlic cloves and a little extra lemon pepper seasoning and it turned out delightful! This is a keeper!
My go to recipe for green beans, I use butter & olive oil and add lemon pepper.
Very tasty but next time I'll use a little less garlic and butter. It was a bit overwhelming but everyone ate them up with no complaints.
This made a very satisfying meal. I served it with your Buttery Garlic Green Beans. What an easy and delicious meal!
I got beautiful green beans from a local farmer for canning. Cooked up a batch for dinner. I liked the boil\steam\saute method. I sautéed in bacon grease after following initial step. and cooked a bit more per recipe for our preference. The technique is what I am reviewing.
Delicious...I added a little bit of creole seasoning versus
Turned out great with just a touch of garlic
Simple and tasty!
Five Stars for sure Easy to follow recipe with phenomenal results Used lemon zest and a squeeze of juice to finish. DH says from now on he wants me to make green beans this way
I added some lemon juice for some kick, and they were delicious!
My family (teen boys) told me I can never open a can of green beans again after having this. Added about 1/2 T. less butter.
I usually do not buy or purchase string beans or green beans... I had this vegetable quite often, as a child.... I do not eat meat or fish... I decided too give this recipe a try... I absolutely, love this dish... I follow the recipe and Included Italian seasoning...Bene...Buono...
I followed recipe exactly. These green beans are delicious! I will definitely make this way again.
I can seldom use fresh green beans, so I resorted to canned. Just two of us, so one can. Heated the beans in water from can, thoroughly. Drained. Put in some butter, etc.Adjusted the amount of seasonings. Really enjoyed it and will use it again...and probably again......etc. It's not difficult. Just never thought of it. Creative cooking is not my forte.
Def a great base! I added an extra tablespoon of butter and doubled the garlic. I also made my own lemon pepper by toasting together some lemon zest, crushed black pepper, and kosher salt. I used a LOT more than a pinch! I also melted the butter down and cooked the garlic a bit before adding the green beans! So good!
Fresh green beans and garlic. Cant get much better than that. I made it and absolutely loved it.
Awesome!
Great way to enjoy fresh green beans.
Made this exactly as directed, except reduced butter to 1 T. and garlic to 1 clove. It was delicious and easy! My only regret is that I didn't make a double batch!
Made it as per recipe and it turned out great.
Amazing and very easy to make!!!
I cheated and used frozen, but will certainly use fresh when summer comes. Couldn’t really taste the lemon, but maybe my “pinches” were off. Would use more next time to see. Still delicious and different.
Made as is. Christmas hit- will make again.
GREAT AND EASY,DONT CHANGE A THING.
Family favorite. I skip the lemon pepper usually. There are never any leftovers since everyone loves it so much!
Perfect! Both my 8-yr old daughter and husband ate 2 servings each. Nothing more to say.
I have made these a few times and they are always good. I had left over parboiled green beans so just used those. I added the last of a red onion, thin sliced and a bit of red bell for color, also thinly sliced and threw in a tad of red pepper flakes with the garlic. Great way to help use up the leftover veggies!
I will make this side dish often. Loved it!
loved it
It worked out well, needed more garlic for my boyfriends taste so I added garlic powder as well.
Basic green bean recipe if you don't have too much time. But garlic and butter...where could you go wrong? lol
I made this a few times for dinner and my wife thoroughly enjoys it every time. She's not a fan of LemonPepper, but she definitely became one with this dish..
We will never buy canned green beans again! These are just amazing!! We added some crumbled bacon to the top to make it even yummier!
They came out delicious,I love garlic so the flavor was amazing
Excellent! I just experimented with the few green beans from my garden and this recipe, and can't wait to go to the farmer's market tomorrow for more green beans! Simple and yummy, and you could play with this recipe to change it up a little.
I would have liked this better had there been much flavor but there wasn't. I added more garlic and more lemon pepper but it was still bland. I'll do something different next time.
Easy yummy way to make green beans
Half the time we don't have lemon pepper but it still turns out great with everything else! My husband wolfs down these green beans!
Very easy and lots of flavor.
