Easy Southern Sweet Potato Casserole


This recipe is at least as easy as pie, probably easier. Sweet potatoes and sweet marshmallows make for a sweet dish.

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 (10.5 ounce) package marshmallows


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

  2. Toss sweet potatoes with brown sugar in a bowl until coated; arrange in the prepared casserole dish. Top sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven until sweet potatoes are tender and marshmallows are browned, 35 minutes.
