  1. Heat oven to 350 F.
  2. Stir together flour and brown sugar in medium bowl; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips; press mixture on bottom of ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, combine sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Stir in remaining 1-1/2 cups chips and nuts. Spread evenly over baked crust. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

I like the ways these tasted, but were not as good as I thought. My oldest boys thought they were awful, but the younger ones loved them. I had a problem with them sticking to the pan,too.

OK, but thiner than I expected to, and way too chocolatey. Decrease the amount of chips by 1/2. Mine tended to be too browned 5 to 10 minutes before requested cooking time. Good, but not to die ...

These turned out kind of dry and our guests barely touched them. I was disappointed. Tasted okay, but the presentation is not appealing at all.
