  • Melt butter and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir onion into garlic until softened and lightly browned, 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Mix in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, black pepper, paprika, white pepper, dry mustard, ginger, cayenne pepper, and thyme; cook and stir until combined, 1 to 2 minutes. Add brown sugar and let bubble for 1 minute.

  • Stir in chicken stock, ketchup, molasses, Dijon mustard, liquid smoke, and vinegar; simmer until thickened, 5 to 10 minutes. Cool and brush onto desired meat.

I used 3 tbsp smoked paprika instead of the liquid smoke because I didn t have any. I also added another 1/2 cup of ketchup to thicken it up a bit. Pretty good flavor. Read More

I made it just like the recipe and its got a mighty kick. I love the flavor but a bit to spicy for some of the family. I would probably cut back on the chili powder and red pepper. Increase the molasses and brown sugar for a more sweeter kick. This will be my basis for many testing rounds! Read More
