Cinnamon-Accented French Toast
Very quick, easy, and tasty french toast.
Very quick, easy, and tasty french toast.
I made this recipe exact, only using lactose free milk. I served this with my Buttery Maple Syrup. Both of my kids ate all six pieces though my oldest boy thought it was a little too "eggy". Not a reflection on the recipe, just not my kids' cup of tea. Using my griddle, this recipe took no longer than 15 to make from beginning to end and it used the last of my bread before Grocery Shopping Day.

it was really good and very easy to make, but i added vanilla to give it that extra kick.
Yummy! Use good bread and a lot more sugar to make this recipe absolutely delicious.
Just ate some with my daughter and it was yummy. Added a little Vanilla like someone else did and it turned out nicely. More then likely will make these again!
I personally never liked French Toast to start with, but when I made this one I found it was actually quite good. :)
I usually make a generic french toast with eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. For this recipe, I used french bread and made it exactly as printed. It was absolutely delicious! I served it with warm syrup, a couple of pieces of bacon, and decaf for dinner! Yum!
This was the first time I ever made French toast. My family loved it. It was extremely easy and paired well with maple syrup.
the taste was super, but it doesn't yield nearly the amount it claims. tripped the recipe and ended up with 11 pieces of french toast.
Was quick and tasted great. Just what I needed on mornings when baseball/softball games are early and we need a quick bite.
Burnt the first piece because 2 min. on medium heat was way too long on my stove. Other than that, tastes great!
Very easy to make. Family enjoyed every bite!
I made this just as written. Our four year old inhaled this stuff. We used a pretty thick bread so we only got two servings put of it but, both were gone in a flash. Will definitely make this again because I want to try it.
It was tasty and I only made half the recipe, using 2 eggs instead of the recommended 1 1/2 but it came out fine. Be sure the pan is hot before putting in the bread or it will burn.
Hit the spot. I made two batches. Just the right amt of cinnamon!
A nice solid recipe. I added 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla and it worked out great. This is a nice fast breakfast meal. Added points for it being an easy cleanup vs bacon Eggs and so on. I added a tiny amount of cinnamon to the mix prior to each piece of bread dipped. Two thumbs up!
Amazing! Easy to make and tastes great. I made it with lactose-free milk and had some banana with it.
Put less salt in the batter, and I added some vanilla extract!
I don’t eat French toast, but my husband LOVES it. I made this recipe for his birthday breakfast—he devoured 3 slices! I used slightly stale whole wheat bread slices with the recipe as stated, but with a teaspoon of nutmeg and a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract added. I also melted a couple of pats of unsalted butter in the skillet before adding the soaked slices. Smelled SO GOOD while it was cooking!! The slices cooked up beautifully-tender on the outside and slightly crisp on the outside and edges.
I’ve been looking for an easy cinnamon toast recipe. This was simple, easy to make with everyday ingredients and so tasty with some honey on top??
Didnt seem to make 6 pieces of toast, almost made 4. But, other than that delicious!
i made my cinnamon toast with raspberry's and cherry's and it was so delicious especially with some fresh fruit on the side thanks to you i had good idea and decide to make this recipe....i would always know what to eat for breakfast!!!!!!
I was working at a café. Kids would order French Toast. I wanted to make it special for them. Basically same recipe.. I add vanilla and crush up Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal. Batter bread dip in CTC Cereal and fry as usual. Everyone seemed to enjoy the cinnamon crunch. And I enjoyed their smiles when they tasted it. Talk about taking it up a notch. Oh Yeah.
easy to do and so tasty.though it is quite hard to find cinammon powder
Very good. I did add a 1/4 tsp of vanilla and used whole earth sweetner (stevia). And whole wheat bread. I will try with raison cinnamon bread next time! YUM! Also a spoonful of sugar free whip cream on the side to dip in.
Tasty and quick. Could do without salt/less salt depending on salt content of bread/fat used in pan.
I added 2 tsp of cinnamon just to give it a try & it was so good very delicious!
Made this the other day and my family liked it. I initially used 12 eggs which said I could make 24 slices which didnt even come close. instead, i had to use 18 eggs in order to get enough french toast for my family. i also added a little more milk and sprinkled cinnamon on one side only.
Great basic French toast recipe. I didn't have an dry bread so i threw it in a low oven a bit.
the last peace didn't have enough batter to cover both sides which wasn't grate. so we just fed it to the dogs. over all they were grate and very easy to make.
