Directions

  • Combine broccoli, chicken, walnuts, and green onions in a large bowl.

  • Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar together in a bowl until well blended.

  • Pour mayonnaise dressing over broccoli mixture; toss to coat.

  • Cover and refrigerate until chilled, if desired. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon to serve.

Cook's Note:

The recipe calls for raw broccoli, but I like to microwave about 2 minutes in a small bit of water to steam, then chill. I also use light mayo or salad dressing and Splenda(R). You can omit the chicken and it makes a delicious broccoli salad.

Fantastic salad! I don't use sugar so subbed honey instead. Fried up a whole pkg of uncured bacon and added to the salad instead of sprinkling on top as a garnish. The dressing is perfect! Will make this salad A LOT!! There is a lot but leftovers will be perfect for lunches. Read More
