This salad is perfect for hot summer months! The sweet and tangy taste is very addictive.

Directions

  • Combine broccoli, chicken, walnuts, and green onions in a large bowl.

  • Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar together in a bowl until well blended.

  • Pour mayonnaise dressing over broccoli mixture; toss to coat.

  • Cover and refrigerate until chilled, if desired. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon to serve.

Cook's Note:

The recipe calls for raw broccoli, but I like to microwave about 2 minutes in a small bit of water to steam, then chill. I also use light mayo or salad dressing and Splenda(R). You can omit the chicken and it makes a delicious broccoli salad.

Partner Tip

Reynolds® Aluminum foil can be used to keep food moist, cook it evenly, and make clean-up easier.

This salad is exceptional! I adore the bacon/chicken combo it is super in this salad. Love the crunch of the walnuts. Simply added S&P to the dressing before whisking it up. I used raw broccoli. Thanks for sharing

This has very little flavor. Neither my husband thought it was worth making again.

Fantastic salad! I don't use sugar so subbed honey instead. Fried up a whole pkg of uncured bacon and added to the salad instead of sprinkling on top as a garnish. The dressing is perfect! Will make this salad A LOT!! There is a lot but leftovers will be perfect for lunches.

Great summer salad. I added half a red apple chopped small and that extra sweetness added a lot. I put the salad on top of lettuce when I served it.

I thought this salad was very good with a nice combination of flavors that went very well together. I even tried some without bacon (GASP!) and found it to be equally as good as the portions that included bacon. Thanks for sharing this recipe JeriM in Austin TX!
