  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with baking parchment.
  3. Mix onions, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and warm water in a large bowl with an electric mixer until well combined.
  4. Mix the baking powder, salt, pepper, and poppy seeds into the onion mixture.
  5. Beat the flour into the onion mixture in batches with the mixer set to Low speed until incorporated into a dough.
  6. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown on top, 20 to 30 minutes.

These looked good and browned very nicely, but I did not like the texture or taste. They basically have no taste and are a bit dry.

These looked good and browned very nicely, but I did not like the texture or taste. They basically have no taste and are a bit dry.

These were easy to make and very tasty. I wasn't a fan of the texture 100% but they do the job.

These biscuits are delicious and so easy to make! Mine didn't stay in a ball form though. Kinda flat but other than that they're great. I'd def make these again!

They were delicious. Have been a family favorite for years. Lost the recipe some time ago. Searched and followed recipes online. This was the best of all.
