So yummy! I just had some suggestions for toppings. We got some Butterfinger® baking bits, chopped them up in a food processor, and rolled the truffles in that. We didn't try cinnamon, but after we had finished baking my mother gasped and said, "We should've used cinnamon!" I hope you find that helpful! :)
Love love love these. This is the recipe that my mom has made even before I was born and my family has used for 50 years. We have to make them every year for Christmas without fail. We roll the truffles in three coatings, sweetened coconut, unsweetened cocoa and finely chopped hazelnuts. Our family loves this recipe and so will yours.
This was a very easy recipe and it turned out great! I tweaked it slighty as I used 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate 1/2 cup of milk chocolate and 1/2 cup of unsweetened chocolate. I also made a batch with peppermint extract and coated with crushed candy canes. They tasted quite rich and made very cute Christmas gifts!
