Ingredients

  • ice

  • 2 fluid ounces rye whiskey

  • 1 fluid ounce sweet vermouth

  • ½ teaspoon anisette liqueur

  • 1 twist lemon

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in whiskey, vermouth, and anisette. Stir well; strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with twist of lemon.

Cook's Notes:

Bourbon can be used instead of the rye whiskey.

This cocktail can be shaken instead of stirred if desired.
