This is a simple variation on a chocolate brownie recipe that my mother made me growing up, which originally came from my grandmother. I am a big white chocolate fan, and this will satisfy even the biggest white chocolate craving.

  • Melt the butter and white chocolate together over low heat in a saucepan. Remove from heat, and let cool slightly. Meanwhile beat eggs with sugar and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl; mix in the butter mixture, and stir in the flour and salt until thoroughly combined. Scoop the batter into the prepared baking pan; sprinkle with white chocolate chips.

  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Allow to cool in pan for about 10 minutes before cutting into bars.

Awesome, yummy recipe; almost as good as Moxie's White Chocolate Brownie! The only thing I will change next time is to cut the sugar by a good bit, maybe a cup & a half next time. But my husband thought it was just perfect! Read More

While baking it developed a bubble where 1/4 of the pan rose. I pressed it back down. It was dry I think the cooking time was too long. I followed the recipe but after a few pieces I ended up throwing it out. Read More

Excellent chewy brownie texture. Perfect edges and crisp shiny top. But WAY too sweet! Update: I made these again without adding the white chips. That seems to have solved the "too sweet" issue for us. They are still delicious. Read More

I forgot the salt...but I really likey :o) I can't stop eating them and haven't shared with anyone!!! Only thing is I was using metric and based on what it calculated, I adjusted the quantities a little... More chocolate(200g) Less sugar(~250g) and a teensy bit more flour Read More

My family loved the concept of a white brownie! These were very tasty and we loved them. The only thing that didn't go so well was the baking. Mine turned out too browned and crispy on top which wasn't what I was going for. I wonder if it's because I was baking them in a small toaster oven and they were too close to the element? I will probably put them on a lower rack and try a lower temperature for longer next time. So yum though. Thanks for sharing the recipe:) Read More

Ok so I loved the recipe but I was looking for more of a brownie texture and this was more cakelike to me. To get more of a brownie I cut the eggs in half (to 2) and added 6 oz. melted white choc. instead of 3 (but that might not even be necessary I just love white chocolate). You do have to cook it a bit longer probably closer to 45 mins just keep checking it. They turned out amazing!! Read More
