  1. Layer the blanched string beans in the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Melt butter in a large skillet. Saute the mushrooms, onion and garlic in the butter until the onions are soft. Add the Cream of Mushroom soup. Stir to combine soup and vegetables in the skillet, pour mixture over the string beans. Sprinkle with Panko Bread Crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until breadcrumbs are browned.

This recipe was ok. I thought the flavor was bland. I would saute the green beans next time and skip the Panko Bread Crumbs.

I didn't like this. Better to go with the bacon, garlic green bean recipe.

Excellent base recipe, fresh vegetables are always worth that extra effort! Subbed the bread crumbs for French fried onions, doubled the soup added 6 slices of crumbled bacon. Not many leftovers
