Ziti with Easy Tomato Pesto Sauce

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium-low heat, mix together the pesto and basil tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer, and season with salt to taste. Microwave instructions: cook on high for one minute.
  3. Place pasta in a large serving bowl. Toss with pesto-tomato sauce. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

This couldn't be any easier to make. The combination of the Classico sauce and pesto was tasty - I used a bit more of the pesto than 2 tsp because I love pesto. This is an quick, tasty meal when...

Very good. I added capers to the sauce.

Super Easy! Sometimes I add diced mushrooms or black olives.

I mixed in some sliced mushrooms. Thinking that next time I will add green peppers too. The family loved it and didn't complain about there not being any meat.

It is delicious and also nutritious.

This was great for a quick and different pasta sauce! I did use homemade pesto, and more than called for b/c I didn't want the rest to go to waste. I would make this again! Thanks for sharing. :)
