Maple Liqueur

WHOOPTINK

"I make pumpkintinis every fall and the recipe calls for maple liqueur. Well, you'd think that would be easy to find but it has been near impossible! My friend and I found 4 bottles in our state. So I decided to do some research and this is what I found and YUMMY....it's perfecto! Try a little in your coffee or your baked beans, experiment. It is delicious!"

This one is good. I've made honey liqueur like this, using brandy vs rye, and this tastes a lot like mead (honey wine). Brandy would also go nicely with the maple syrup. Warm the maple syrup ...

Wow. For so simple, this is really good. I'm betting aging will make it even better! I used Jack Daniel's because I'm broke :)

I just tried this recipe with amber rum instead of whiskey and then added 1 cup cream and wow!!!

This was very good and similar to my favorite maple whiskey that is only available in Canada. I will make this again for sure.
