We made these wings today for the NFC championship game. Perfect football food! It was pouring rain, so we baked them at 400 degrees for 45 minutes instead of grilling, and they were perfect. The soy sauce in the marinade caramelizes and makes these wings a gorgeous golden brown. They are mouthwatering-lick-the-bones-clean-and-fight-for-the-last wing good. Can't wait for the Super Bowl so that we can try them on the grill. Thanks PartyFil
This is a great dish. It even surprised my wife. The only real change that I would make is -- NOTHING. Leave it alone. It is a nice and easy change from just chicken with a hot sauce on it. Sneaky mix. This cook is to be watched for other recipes that are this tasty and simple. Thanks for your recipe!
I tried these wings for the Super Bowl, and they were fantastic! I doubled the marinade I made 6 pounds of wings, and marinated for 24 hours, I grilled them over Kingsford hickory charcoal, for about 20 to 25 mins to get a nice crisp and a little char on them, then popped them in a 325 degree oven for about 20 mins since I used some large wings, then served half with my own garlic buffalo sauce, and half plain and they both were wonderful, great marinade, thanks for the recipe!
I usually bake my wings without the marinade and just serve tossed with Franks and melted butter but it's worth it to try this marinade - very tasty and it makes a difference! And I had to laugh at the post that said they won't serve this too often due to "adding fat to an already fatty meat" Hahaha - THAT'S BC IT'S A BUFFALO WING!! It's a snack meant for serving while watching a football game - not as a formal entree. Some people and most all restaurants actually DEEP FRY them before adding the sauce and butter so definitely not "health food." It's a good thing the author didn't mention that they are traditionally served with Bleu Cheese Dressing for dipping!!
Its 7 degrees here today, so I baked these in the oven for 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Served them with brown rice and a salad. Perfect! Will definately make these again.
so gooood! i used boneless chicken tenders and drummettes. they had a great flavor. even my kids ate them w/o the hot sauce of course. they still tasted good when they were cold. thanks for the recipe. will definately make again!
I am very critical of food usually but these wings are AMAZING! When I marinated the chicken in the soy sauce and italian dressing I also added chopped garlic and it was so good. Also if you are cooking larger pieces of chicken grill for a bit and then finish in the oven to avoid charring.
I've used this receipe several times and it's a definate keeper. Remember to use "Frank's Hot Sauce" I put that #%!@ on everything, and it's wonderful!!!
SO goood. Give this a try. The flavor is so great!
I did not care for this recipe. Maybe I did something wrong? followed to a T. Way too salty, and I have never said that before
