  1. In large bowl, add gelatin to boiling water, stir until dissolved, about 3 minutes. Add ice water to gelatin and stir until gelatin begins to thicken. Whisk in whipped topping.
  2. Place crumbled cookies in large serving bowl or six individual glasses. Spoon gelatin mixture on top of cookies. Chill 2 hours in refrigerator before serving.

If I would have reviewed this the night I tried it, it would not have gotten 5 stars. I didn't know it but it needs lots of time to set up right. I used double the cookies and put in a pie pan...

I liked this dessert because it reminded of desserts my mom used to make. I can see using crushed Oreo cookies next time!
