This is the best cocktail sauce recipe, and a perfect companion for shrimp and seafood. Easy and fast. Keeps in the fridge for at least two weeks, covered.

  • ½ cup ketchup (such as Heinz®)

  • 1 cup tomato-based chili sauce (such as Heinz®)

  • ¼ cup prepared horseradish

  • cup light brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt

  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder


  1. Whisk ketchup, chili sauce, horseradish, brown sugar, lemon juice, hot sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder together in a bowl until the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
