Where to begin with this recipe? Points added for simplicity and pantry fixings. Points removed for the directions and the ingredients not matching. Which is it? Taco seasoning, or onion soup mix? No liquid? How is this considered a soup? It's so thick that pasta sauce has more liquid in it. To remedy this entire recipe to make it edible I made the following changes: added fresh onion and cooked with meat. Used taco seasoning since it IS taco soup and not a nacho type topping. Added 2 cans of water from the diced tomato can and used diced tomatoes with green chiles instead of plain tomatoes. This recipe as written--great for nachos or as a dip, NOT soup. My version of this recipe? A quick family friendly stew. I'm going to make my changes and resubmit this recipe for publication. Photo is of MY version, not as the recipe states.
