  • Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides.

  • Stir sauce and 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese in skillet. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and remaining Parmesan cheese over chicken. Let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

I've now made this recipe twice: once as written and once seasoning the chicken before browning. Seasoning the chicken first makes ALL the difference in this recipe! I coated the breasts in simple salt and pepper, and that simple change changed the flavor from a 3 to a solid 4.5/5! In lieu of the "Prego Traditional Italian Sauce" I use whatever I have on hand: Ragu's "Robusto Roasted Garlic" was an excellent choice, I must say. This is super easy and good! This will be my go-to recipe when I don't have much in the kitchen. I do recommend adding some garlic, Italian seasoning and to season the chicken while browning. I served this with some bow tie pasta and green beans. Read More

Ok, I don't give out many 5's. I usually base it on how many people in the house eat it, and everyone ate this dish. My 5 year old grandson enjoyed it and so did my daughter, my picky 16 year old son ate it along with his girlfriend, and of course my husband and I enjoyed it as we do most things. This is an excellent recipe. The only thing I did differently from the recipe was to bread the chicken first. Excellent flavor, my husband raved all the way through dinner.
