"Yummy" - classic comfort food at it's best! I did add a bit of butter and cracked black pepper, but other than that I didn't change a thing. These were creamy and delicious. A perfect side dish for just about anything!

I used four cloves of garlic--we REALLY like garlic. I also cut back on the milk just a little and added some cubed butter and a little fresh ground pepper. Yummy. Went really well with homemade barbeque meatballs.
These were ridiculously easy! While my potatoes were draining I warmed a little melted butter and milk in the pan before returning the potatoes. Can't go wrong!
Easy and yummy! I usually add a few big dollops of sour cream or greek youghurt.
These were so quick and delicious! I, too, added sour cream to them and served with steamed shrimp. Getting ready to make them again right now!
These potatoes were so good! I cut back on the milk a little and added sour cream and butter, and used dried parsley flakes instead of fresh but the potatoes were still very flavorful. Perfection, and I will definitely make again.
Very good! Like the others I added butter. These were a nice change to regular mashed potatoes. Thanks!
I scaled this recipe back to 2 servings and prepared this recipe as written to get a healthy potato side dish. The only deviation from the recipe was using two small cloves of garlic which really boosted the flavor. Unlike other reviewers, I added NO butter because I didn't want to alter the nutritional breakdown by adding more fat. Honestly, I didn't think it needed butter. Try this one time as written, and I don't think you'll be disappointed...at least we weren't. For anybody on the Weight Watchers Plus program, this calculates to 2 points.
I cut the recipe in half and speeded things up by putting the potatoes in the microwave. I put the salt, parsley (not fresh), added pepper and a tablespoon of butter in the milk. Stirred that and then added it to the mashed potatoes. Had to play around with the ingredient amounts but we did like it.
Added butter, needed more salt. But good.
Great mashed potatoes!! I use dried parsley and I do add more garlic because more garlic is always good. :)
Easy and delicious. I did add cracked pepper and about a tablespoon worth of butter.
Great I love it, pretty quick and simple. I was just making it for myself by now. I didn't add parsley since it's hard to get in my area but i added more milk on it. Thanks for the quick cook recipe.
delicious!!! I made it as you said, and some people asked for butter (I prefer a light feel) and sprinkled some 2%milk cheddar cheese and yummmmmm
We used those "little potatoes" and left the skin on. Followed everything else and it tasted great.
I needed something quick and this was perfect. I cannot cook and I had my son asking for more. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are your everyday basic mashed potatoes. Nothing bad about them, however I much prefer my potatoes creamier and more flavorful, with added ingredients like butter, sour cream, pepper, etc. It seems the 4 and 5 stars reviewers all added things to the recipe. These also weren't garlicky, so add more garlic if you want to taste it.
As far as a quick and easy side dish go, these fit the bill. For our personal tastes, we had to double the garlic and add black pepper and a little bit of butter.
they were so delicious! I added a little bit of butter and sour cream to make them creamier, but they were very very good. my husband loved them!
Good mashed recipe! I tripled the garlic and added some butter at the end. Will make again!
As written these are bland. I really like garlic. While I was steam drying my potatoes, I added a stick of butter and 6 cloves of minced garlic to the pan. Cooked til fragrant then added the milk to heat it up. Added the potatoes back in and then mashed them. I did triple the recipe to feed my crew.
This recipe is good. I liked it. Unfortunately, my family did not. I used half a tablespoon of butter to mildly sautéing the garlic. I added spring onions in lieu of the parsley. Then, followed the recipe to a T. Sad I will not be able to make it again.
The recipe doesn’t call for butter .. so i just added some .. it was amazing!!
they were so delicious! I added a little bit of butter and sour cream to make them creamier, but they were very very good. my husband loved them!
The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty. I added 1/4 cup of butter. I didn't have fresh parsley, but I used 1 Tablespoon of dried parsley.
Easy to make but didn’t have much flavor. Garlic added while boiling potatoes didn’t impart any noticeable flavor. Consistency was not like typical mashed potatoes after adding milk. Fairly dry and not typical consistency when made as is. This recipe is a good base for adding more things to it to your liking.
I was quite surprised at how good these turned out when I made them. Added a little butter and they tasted even better!
This was a yummy side dish with BBQ Steak Recipe (also from this website). It was a bit bland and went wonderfully with the flavourful steak. I used 1/3 cup cream and some butter. Added just enough milk to make the texture smooth. Easy to make! will definitely make more. Though next time, I'm planning on using more garlic to add in some flavour.
To make this even better, I add a few more cloves of garlic , some chopped dill and then whip the potatoes with your hand mixer. Incredible!
I added 2 tbs butter because we like our mashed potatoes buttery. I thought I had parsley but I did not so I wound up using dried parsley. Still delicious.
These potatoes were delicious. I used an additional clove of garlic, only half the amount of salt, and 1 tsp. of dried parsley (because I didn't have fresh). I had to add a little extra milk than the recipe called for to get the potatoes creamy. Easy to make and much better than the boxed stuff. I will make again.
Did a few changes because the way it is written in a very bland
