These cookies looked so good, they were perfect for Halloween. Like others have said, a lot of my friends looked at them hesitantly because they looked so real. I also agree with some others that the taste was a little off. I found my batch to be just a tad too salty. If I make these again I will take others suggestions to add granulated sugar or will use my own family recipe for Christmas cookies which is similar but a little sweeter. Hands down these should be colored green, the red looks even more grotesque. I used red food gel for the blood, maybe the red jams others used would have balanced out the flavor?
