  • Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir until soft and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

This is an excellent version of a Sicilian recipe. The capers are a tasty addition. I used the tomato paste but only a tbsp. I only needed a little more water than the cup as written. Use any leftovers for pasta or risotto. This is one of our favorite dishes. Thank you for the recipe. Read More

I actually used 2 cups of homemade broth and 2 cups of water to cover everything. I liked this recipe because I was able to use everything out of my garden to make it. I used one of those small cans of tomato paste to make it more tomatoey. Just my preference. Served over rice and it turned out great! Read More
