  1. Saute the peppers, celery, onion, and garlic in oil until tender. Add the tomato juice or water, apple juice, mashed tomatoes, and herbs. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. Add halibut pieces to the soup. Cook until halibut is done, about 30 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.

I love Manhattan style chowder, but found myself w/o fish stock, so I tried this. Too much tomato, which overwhelmed the fish. It turned out more like a spaghetti sauce than a chowfer.

Yuummmmyyy, But Instead of Halibut I used pike..... It was real tender though. And I added a dash of cinnamon for a kick! It was delish!

Healthy, easy, delicious! Kids even ate it! I will make this from now on instead of my 50 ingredient cioppino I make at New years. Yum!
