These were fabulous!! I used Nathans hot dogs and cut them in half and used popsicle sticks. Me and my husband are from Missouri and he said these tasted better than fair corn dogs (and I thought the same too). As others suggested I coated the dogs in flour first which made the batter stick perfectlt. I used a coffee cup for dipping and used a twisting motion to coat. I deep fried them in a chicken fryer pan and they were perfect!!! They looked amazing and my batter puffed slightly and they came out picture perfect - I just regret not taking a picture of them, but I will next time. This is definitely a recipe I will use over and over again.
