The recipe came out pretty good... but a word of caution novice cooks: 1/2 cup of butter melted is NOT the same as putting 1/2 cup of putter and then melting it. It turns out to be WAY too much butter and I found out the hard way. My cobbler was dripping in excess butter and was soggy at the bottom. Make sure you melt the butter and then measure a 1/2 cup.
