  1. Slice sweet potatoes into an 8-in. pie plate; set aside. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, water and salt; bring to a boil. Pour hot syrup over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, basting occasionally, or until syrup thickens and potatoes are glazed. Sprinkle with nutmeg or mace.

The recipe doesn't state how you should cook the potatoes before you prepare them so I cubed them, coated them in a little olive oil and baked them in a 400 degree oven for about 35 minutes...wh...

I had to cook mine a little longer, more like 40 minutes. Not bad, though I have had better.

My first time cooking sweet potatoes I used this recipe. I don't like sweet potatoes but this recipe made them delicious!!! Very easy to make and everyone loved them.

I made this sweet potatoes recipe (for ten) and added marshmallows until golden brown. Very easy and delicious. I would definitely make this recipe again.

This recipe was easy to prepare and was delicious. I used 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of white sugar - d elicous. I'll be using this recipe again very soon.
