Cheesy Baked Onions

Rated as 4 out of 5 Stars

"I FOUND this recipe in the newspaper many years ago. It has been a family favorite ever since. Since it goes well with any meat, it's a good 'dish to pass' for family gatherings or potluck suppers. Someone will always ask 'Who brought the onions?' -Louise Elliott, Gallipolis, Ohio"

This was good -- a nice change for a sidedish. This is made with a simple white sauce, if mixed properly there shouldn't be any issues with texture or separation.

I made this recipe last night and it was awesome! I added a little more cheese also and it turned out great. Anyone that doesn't really understand how to make homemade gravy probably does not ...

it was really sad, the whole flour thing in the beginning kinda messed it up and cheddar cheese just doesn't melt correctly, perhaps another cheese would've been better, it just kinda separated ...

Made this for Thanksgiving and my family loved it. It was really good, I was not sure if they would like it because it was onions, but boy did they.

I make onions like this EVERY Thanksgiving, but I use the little frozen pearl onions, and par-boil them first. They are asked for again every year!

This was easy & delicious! The only thing I did different was add a little more cheddar cheese in the sauce and when I served it I sprinkled it with a little freshly ground pepper, sea salt & g...
