Baked Oatmeal Squares

We loved this. I don't even like oatmeal, and I liked this. I was inspired to make this because an earlier reviewer used buttermilk (which I need to use up) and because she described it as tasting like a cakey oatmeal cookie. That is 100% accurate. Those of you who downrated the recipe because it isn't a hand-held bar (IE granola bar) are doing the recipe a disservice. Granola bars are held in the hand; bar cookies which contain flour are also held in the hand; this is oatmeal cobbled together with some wet ingredients, sliced into quarters and served with a spatula, and eaten with a spoon or fork. The only drawback to this recipe is it lacks published nutrition information, which is of course easily remedied. Thanks for the recipe, I know this will become a weekend favorite!
