Freezer French Toast

- In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Place bread in a well-greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread. Let soak for several minutes, turning once to coat. Freeze until firm. Package in airtight containers. To bake, place bread on a well-greased baking sheet. Dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees F for 7 minutes; turn and bake 10-12 minutes longer or until golden brown.

Very easy way to make breakfast, with little preparation needed in the morning. I found best results cooking with a lightly greased pizza tray
These are excellent! We make them every christmas and of course always make extra to leave in the freezer for another day.
This is fabulous! I've made it twice in one week (had grandkids in town to eat it!). The second time I sliced the bread 1/2-inch thick and liked it even better. Also added a dash of cinnamon.
