"I can never resist a tart, tempting slice of this beautiful pie. It's a down-home dessert that makes any meal special. This pie is a terrific way to put bountiful summer plums to use. --Michelle Beran, Claflin, Kansas"

  1. In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; pour into the pastry shell. For topping, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl; cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Cover edges of crust during the last 20 minutes to prevent overbrowning. Cool on a wire rack.

I think this is hands down the best pie I have ever had. The measurements are just right so that the sweet and tart are perfectly balanced and it takes no time at all to throw it together. I can...

I wasn't really expecting much from this recipe - I don't really love plums and I'm not sure I've ever had a plum pie before. But I was looking for a way to use up a bunch of them - and I was th...

AMAZING! My husband said this was the best recipe I'd ever found on the site and I've been using Allrecipes for years. I bought a big bucket of plums at Costco and we just weren't eating them fa...

This tastes fantastic! We think it's more of a cobbler than a pie though. I first mixed the sliced plums with a 1/2 cup of sugar and microwaved them for 4 minutes then followed the recipe. I ...

If I could give this 6 stars I would! We were caught inside during a summer storm I ran out of plums at 2 cups. I substituted fresh organic blueberries. I also didn't have enough flour to mak...

Very good! I had a couple of pluots that I needed to use up so I made 1/2 of this recipe. The only other changes that I made were that I did not use a pie crust, and I used brown sugar in the to...

Excellent!! Not too sweet and tart just right, great with ice cream or without. I made it with a home-made crust using recipe Basic Flaky Pie Crust on this web site (also excellent recipe), and...
