I wanted just a basic blueberry sauce with no competing flavors and this couldn't have been easier or better. Because I was making this specifically to swirl through homemade vanilla ice cream, I deliberately increased the cornstarch just a smidge. Also added a teeny pinch of salt simply to heighten flavor. I used frozen blueberries. This was exactly what I wanted, a lovely blue, not too sweet blueberry sauce that took just a few minutes to make.
