  1. In a small saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in 3 tablespoons butter until tender. Transfer to a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Break eggs over the onion mixture. Melt remaining butter; toss with bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Sprinkle over eggs. Place dish in a large baking pan; pour boiling water into larger pan to a depth of 1 in. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or until the eggs are firm.

While I enjoyed the flavor of the savory eggs, I wasn't satisfied with the texture of the bread crumbs. I think next time I might try topping the eggs with shredded cheese instead and then eati...

I wanted to make quiche, but didn't have any milk, so I started looking up egg recipes on allrecipes.com. Found this! I always read reviews before I start any recipes on this website. Found that...

I make something very similiar to this. If this sounds good to you, forget the bread crumbs, don't saute the veggies, add (though it sounds strange) a little chopped dill pickle, and bake.

It seems to be a pretty nice base recipe. We're looking forward to changing things up and seeing where we can go from here!

It was tasty, but had some egg issues and had to cook it for twice the recommended time. Unfortunately, I was hoping for "dippy" eggs but instead the yolks came out hard, of course. Still work...

This was okay..... but no where near great. The bread crumbs were kind of gross, like they just sat there on top of the egg. The rest of it was good. The recipe just needs a different topping...
