Zesty Broccoli

Rated as 4.23 out of 5 Stars

"I'VE BEEN a vegetarian for over 20 years and often experiment with flavors compatible to the many vegetables I prepare. My nephew, who lived with me a year while going to graduate school, thought this was one of my best creations. It's not only beautiful, it's delicious and nutritious, too. -Louiza Kemyan, Palm Springs, California"

I used steam in bag broccoli, olive oil, a little more minced garlic tossed the whole thing together and it was delicious. The only thing I might add next time would be a little parmesan cheese.

Excellent cooking method! Used more olive oil, more garlic and freshly ground black pepper rather than the red pepper flakes. Needed a little longer cooking time for my desired degree of donene...

I changed the way I cooked the broccoli. I roasted (instead of boiling) the broccoli, that I tossed with the olive oil, garlic, salt and crushed red pepper. Both my oldest son and I thought this...

I have not made this recipe but I make a similar recipe using the olive oil, toast the fresh minced garlic (4-5 cloves we LOVE garlic) till golden add crushed red pepper to taste and drizzle ove...

This was very good. I added a little more garlic and about 1/2 tsp of sugar along with 4-5 sliced white mushrooms and my family went crazy for it. Deffinately will make this again.

Yummy! I tend to overcook vegetables, but this recipe made me realize that i don't have to cook them long to be good.

Good, but I didn't find it to be all that zesty. I didn't bother to drain the water, I just quickly cooked it off. Topped with a little Parmesan cheese. Hubby ate it so that's good!

Quick and easy, but only mildly "zesty" - Used about 3.5 cups of broccoli, and 1/2 tsp extra of garlic. The family liked this, but I was expecting a bit more zip.

I did this recipe just because I had the ingredients. It turned out pretty good. My husband actually liked it. Easy to make and quick. Something we all like.
