  1. Combine apple pie filling, raisins, and nutmeg in a bowl. Pour into crust.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour and brown sugar; cut in melted butter until mixture becomes crumbly. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle mixture over the top of the pie filling.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until top has browned.

I would use butter just out of the refrigerator rather than melted. It's much easier to get the crumbly topping.

I was pretty skeptical at first, but this recipe came out great, had it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Yum! The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was that I did expect a crumbly ...

this was ok...not my favorite dessert but nice and easy and not a lot of clean up. Its a good recipe for ingredients just waiting to be used up.

I used apple pie filling and a chopped bananna. Used refigerated butter instead of melted butter.

Used pecans instead of walnuts, added 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Excellent.
