  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla and water. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  2. Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

these were good but butter shortening made it a little too buttery...rather than tasting like peanut butter like they should...they were a little on the dry side also
