  1. Place all ingredients in a Dutch oven. Cover and cook over medium-low hat for 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from the heat; mash apples to desired consistency. Serve warm or cold. Store in the refrigerator.

I can applesauce every year. Apples can also be cooked in the microwave with no additional liquid - they make plenty of their own. The type of apple you use will affect how sweet the sauce is. ...
