Directions
{{model.addEditText}} Print- In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine water and coffee; set aside. Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee. Stir in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges. Remove to wire racks.

Nothing about these cookies were good. I bake all the time and I was dissapointed.

I didn't taste any coffee. They were just like regular chocolate chip cookies. I followed the recipe exactly, but I ended up with four dozens. They were really soft even though I used 1C white...

delicious! i didnt have enough choc chips but they still taste great! nice quick easy recipe!

These were good. I only made half of the recipe because I only had 2 cups of chips. I used white chocolate instead of regular chocolate. They are a really soft cookie.

Terrific! Cookies stay puffy and soft. I used instant espresso powder because I had it on hand.
