Sausage Potatoes Au Gratin

  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, cook sausage and onion in oil until lightly browned; drain. Stir in carrots, potatoes with contents of sauce mix, water and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in broccoli; cover and cook 5 minutes longer or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese is melted.

Very Hamburger Helperish. We did not like this dish, the packaged potatoes ended up rubbery. Will not make again.

This was good. I was leery of using just water when the original potato mix calls for milk. Since the potato package is only 4 oz now, I used 2 cups water and 1/4 c. milk. I threw the carrot...

I changed this up a bit. I baked it in a 350 degree oven till the potatoes softened up a bit. I also added more cheese to the recipe. My kids loved it! This recipe was beautiful!

this recipe is awesome :) I usually use "summer sausage" and cali mix. waaay good. Iv'e heard of people using kilbasa. very hearty meal. THANK YOU
