  1. In a mixing bowl, cream peanut butter, shortening and brown sugar. beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Add milk; mix well. Transfer to a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 16-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool.
  2. For frosting, in a mixing bowl, cream peanut butter, shortening and confectioners' sugar. Gradually beat in enough milk to achieve spreading consistency. Frost bars. Melt chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Drizzle over frosting. Refrigerate.

I had high hopes for this recipe. I guess my main complaint was the bars or the frosting were not peanut buttery enough, and it made WAY WAY too much frosting. I strongly recommend halving it....
