  1. In a blender or food processor, cover and process cottage cheese until smooth. Add sugar, milk, oil and vanilla; process until smooth. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to cheese mixture. Process just until dough forms a ball (dough will be sticky). Turn onto a floured surface; knead 4-5 times. Place in a bowl; cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk, lemon peel and vanilla; mix well. Turn dough onto a 17-in. x 13-in. x piece of parchment paper. Roll into a 16-in. x 12-in. rectangle. Transfer with paper to a baking sheet.
  3. Spread cream cheese mixture lengthwise in a 3-1/2-in.-wide strip down center of dough; sprinkle with blueberries. On each long side, cut 1-in.-wide strips about 3-3/4 in. into center. Fold alternating strips at an angle across berries. Pinch ends to seal and tuck under. Beat egg white and water; brush over dough.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over warm pastry. Refrigerate leftovers.

Well, mine turned out OK inside and out, and it was quite good, but this recipe did not get 5 stars because it seemed very, very time-consuming to me. I did not time myself while preparing it, ...

I made this and it turned out wonderful. I used some blueberry pie filling and added fresh blueberries on top. I didn't have cottage cheese so I used some ricotta tasted great. For the glaze ...

So good! This will be gone soon! I reduced the sugar in the dough to 1/4 cup, the sugar in the filling to 1 tbsp, and the sugar in the glaze to 1/4 cup (which made a perfect glaze with 2 tsp of ...

Much easier to make than I expected. The dough was easily rolled and maintained its "criss-crossed" shape during the baking process. I didn't have any problems with the filling leaking. This ...

Worth the time it takes to make! I had to make a few substitutions/changes due to ingredients on hand: I used strawberry cream cheese and cut the sugar to 2 TB, I used orange zest instead of lem...

I consider myself the worlds worse baker. I've made this about 10 times now and it is wonderful!!! It's my number one requested item to bring to office functions or just over to friends houses...

I made this on a whim because I had cottage cheese that needed using and it was fabulous! We had a blackberry/blueberry/raspberry blend, so we used it. And I made a little extra glaze. I also ad...
