Savory Lemon Limas

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add lima beans; return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Drain. Combine the butter, lemon juice, sugar, mustard and salt; pour over beans and toss to coat.

I love the simplicity of this recipe. Every recipe I looked at was for limas with ham...this is a nice refreshing change from that.

Excellent way to perk up the taste of frozen lima beans! I added black pepper, a teaspoon of chicken base, and a sweet vidalia onion. To make it healthier, I used no calorie spray butter and one...

These were delicious, made exactly as recipe stated. Sort of a sweet and sour feel to them. had them for lunch the next day and still yummy. Husbnad was not a fan, so if I make again, will do it...

Really easy and good recipe for lima beans. I added just a few pinches of fresh thyme. Served as a side to slow cooker pulled pork.
