Raisin Bran Bread

Wonderful bread! The first time I made this, I made as written (but did NOT add additional flour). The batter was runny/sticky, but since the machine was doing the work, I didn't worry about it. Turned out delicious!! The bread was so moist and airy considering the whole grains from the bran cereal. The second time I made it, I made a slightly healthier version, replacing 1 cup of the bread flour with whole wheat flour. It was still very delicious, but of course more dense and did not rise as high. Next time, I will try the whole wheat flour again, but add some wheat gluten to see if I can get a better rise. I also thought I would add that, contrary to another review, I believe 17 tbsp is 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon. That amount of water seemed to work just right.
