  1. Place the potatoes, carrots, onion, celery and meatballs in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over meatball mixture. Cover and cook on low for 9-10 hours or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

This was very easy to make and quite good. My husband LOVED it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that is was a bit overly salty tasting. And since you put no salt in it, I'm not sure ...

Came out too thick the first time I made it. Second time I added a can of low-sodium beef broth in place of the water and bullion. Muct better! Also added basil, oragano, and cayenne to taste.

Very good stew. It didn't have quite the flavor I wanted so instead of using flour to thicken, I used a package of beef gravy mix. It was just what it needed.
