Peanut Butter Fruit Dip
My wife was a great cook and I loved to help her. She served this dip with crackers, pretzels or fresh fruit at our family get-togethers, especially during the holidays. -Cloyd Sensenig, West Lawn, Pennsylvania

This dip is great with Granny Smith apples, Graham Cracker Sticks and Vanilla Wafers. I doubled the cinnamon to really bring out that flavor! I have already shared this receipe with many friends! Thanks so much for posting!
Read MoreI am the least picky eater and I like all of the ingredients. It just wasn't a right combination. I dipped graham crackers and apple slices in it. Hard to explain the taste, just not very distinct. I'd rather eat each ingredient separately as a dip.

YUM! This is wonderful, simply because it IS, but also because it can be made really healthily. I use natural PB, Dannon Light N Fit (sugar free) vanilla yogurt, and Sugar Free Cool Whip. I keep a container in my fridge to have it on hand for a yummy snack and I think it taste even better if it's been in the fridge overnight!
I thought this was pretty good. We made it both with and without the whipped cream and liked it both ways; it's much tangier without. I made my own homemade whipped cream since I prefer that to Cool Whip. My husband really loved it. I served it with chocolate graham crackers, honey graham cracker sticks, apples, and bananas. I think young children would really enjoy this too.
The tanginess of the yogurt, the nuttiness of the pb, with the sweetness of whipped topping? Delish!!! My kids loved it!
Just delicious! A great change from the normal cream cheese cool whip dip. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't have any Cool Whip, so I made this without it. It was delicious! This recipe is AMAZING!!! Tastes good with apples, and I tried it with tortilla chips, and that was good. I even spread some dip on a flour tortilla and it was very delicious!!!!!

This was a success! I made a platter of waffle strips and apple/banana slices for my kids to dip them in for breakfast. They flipped for it. I cut it down to three servings which was perfect for my two boys. I will SO be making this again!
Great dip - quick easy, and not overly sweet. Especially good with apples, bananas, pears, graham crackers, and pretzels. Made as written and wouldn't change a thing.
Yum! The peanut butter in this dip pretty subtle, so you may want to add more but its also nice as is. This would actually make a good light frosting for banana bread or cake if you aren't a fan of supersweet frostings. I used crunchy peanut butter and sprinkled toasted chopped peanuts on top - served with Honey Crisp and Granny Smith Apples. Thanks!
Terrific! I scaled this down to one for an afternoon snack with a Honey Crisp Apple. It was delicious! I did not have the whipped topping so I gave it a nice squirt of Honey instead. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
Delicious! I had it with bananas, apples and wheat ritz crackers. YUM!
Vanilla yogurt is my favorite flavor, but I thought this was way too tart. I scaled the recipe way back with the calculate button to try it out. I doubled the whipped topping which helped improve the flavor, or at least cut back on the tartness. I don't think this is something I would want to dip fruit in though. But, I also have not cared for other fruit dip recipes I have tried either. So, it might just be me.
I catered a friend's bridal shower and made this dip. People seemed skeptical when I told them the ingredients, but one taste was all it took to change their minds. This was very delicious and incredibly easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly and served it with apple slices (dipped in lemon juice) and fresh strawberries.
this was simple and terrific. It's also really good w/o the whipped topping.
I liked this. It wasn't too sweet and had some nutritional value in it. Most other fruit dip recipes have are empty calories which defeats the purpose of feeding chidren fruit if it's slathered in sugar. My children liked it very much.
Just made this today. I bought red delicious apples to dip in it....awesome. Teenagers will be home soon....thats the true test. I;m sure they'll love it.
great dip with just a few ingredients. Made it once with the peanut butter with good results. Just as good when Nutella was substituted for peanut butter the second time.
This is delicious and so simple. I made it the first time exactly as written and everyone loved it. I served it with honeycrisp apple slices. Then made a second batch replacing vanilla yogurt with plain yogurt since I had that on hand. Liked that even better. Will make often.
Oh my gosh!! My 4 year old son and I just made this together for our afternoon snack. We are having it with apple slices and pretzel rods. I don't know which one of us likes it more. This is great for kids, both to make and to snack on.
Great Great Great Dip! I make this with greek yogurt (less sugar and more protein than regular yogurt) and omit the whipped topping. Still tastes great.... awesome way to get a peanut butter fix with a little less calories. Perfect and healthy snack for kids (and adults)!
taste as good as my fav peanut butter pie reciepie cinnamon gives it just the right flavor my kids love this . have left out the whipped topping to keep it healthy . kids love it with apples, bannanas grapes and pretzle sticks.
We liked this with apples. I think it would be improved by additional peanut butter, personally. :) But then again...I grew up eating just plain peanut butter on my apples so maybe I'm making an unfair comparison! It's very tasty, but I might try again with additional peanut butter, because the fluffy texture was very nice. EDIT: Upon reviewing this recipe I realized we gave almost all of it away because the yogurt was too strong for us. Retracting a star because although there's nothing wrong with this, it just isn't a 5-star recipe without adjusting the peanut butter way up.
This dip can easily get addicting! Its a great dip to fulfill my sweet tooth!
AWESOME! Kids & adults both practically licked the bowl clean. This one is a keeper - thanks!
I could eat this by itself! I made it for dipping cookies at a party. The most frequent comment was "I had to step away from the peanut butter dip".
normally, im not a fan of yogurt... but this dip was fantastic! the only change i made was i used 1/2c of yogurt and 1 cup of peanut butter. i dipped apple slices in this the first time i made it, and the second time i made it i mixed peeled, cubed apple chunks in the actual dip & served it as a salad. both ways were very good. i'll absolutely make this over and over again, thank you!
Not bad. Tasted like a peanut butter mousse. I would have prefered a stronger peanut butter flavor. We had it with sliced bananas and apples. My daughter gobbled it right up so would certainly make this again for her.
Turns a plain apple into a fantastic snack. Didn't use the whipped topping and just used the cinnamon as a topper ingredient. But I can't decide if I like this better with apples or grapes... if you don't have vanilla yogurt, you can use plain unsweetened with some brown sugar and vanilla added. A dollop on a bowl of grapes makes a quick and tasty salad!
I am rating this 4 stars because it was easy to make and liked by some friends that I served this to. However, I didn't really care for the taste and won't be making it again.
I just had this at a party and it is so awesome. This one included mini chocolate chips used to dip fruit and vegetables, was great!
Fabulous! Have made this several times - always to rave reviews! I use the chuncky peanut butter (Kroger Honey & Roasted Peanut Butter is the best) and add more cinnamon to taste and use low fat Cool Whip. Always a winner.
All that needs to be said about this recipe is YUMMMMMMMMMMMMY! I am a Peanut Butter Lover! and this was PERFECT! I bet Crunchy Peanut Butter would be great in this as well I'll have to try that next time!
I brought this to a work potluck and it was a hit! I used Adam's Chunky peanut butter and added about 3/4 cup of it instead for more peanut butter flavor. Went great with apples, bananas, and graham crackers.
This dip was a big hit at the Super Bowl party we went to - and we were happy to finish off the rest at home. YUM!
So easy to make and very very tasty. I find that granny smith apples taste great with this as well as cinnamon graham cracker sticks.
I only licked the spoon and already I knew it was 5 stars! I like to take fruit trays to potluck parties so there are healthier options, and this will be a nice change of pace from the usual cream cheese dip.
My kids loved this and I felt good about it being healthy. I used low-fat peanut butter and light whipped topping and it turned out great. Ate the leftovers 2 days later and it was still good!
Tasty, but there's something strange about the flavour. It might have been the cinnamon, I don't know. It was good, though, and I'll make it again. Maybe I'll try using cocoa instead of cinnamon. Thanks for sharing, Cloyd!
Looove this! I was looking for a relatively healthy yet satisfyingly sweet treat to help me avoid cravings for things that are terrible for me...and this dip really does the trick. It's delicious and quite healthy when made with lowfat yogurt, natural peanut butter, and fat free sugar free whipped cream. I've made it so many times that I don't even bother to measure the ingredients anymore. I add cinnamon to taste, and as I love cinnamon, it's probably at least double the recommended amount. I love this, my three-year-old son loves it, my friends enjoy it, and even my boyfriend who isn't crazy about sweets of any sort enjoys it. Great with fresh fruit and/or cinnamon graham crackers.
this is SO GOOD! i also didn't have any whipped topping so i made it with only the yogurt and peanut butter and cinnamon and it turned out great (and still fairly healthy)! can't wait to try differnt types of fruit in it..
I thought it was pretty tasty. The kids, believe it or not - weren't that impressed. Hm. Thanks.
I made this exactly as stated for my daughters 6th birthday party. We did not care for it and nobody ate it. I would never make this again. The flavors just don't blend well at all.
i have this exact recipe everyone loves it goes great with sliced apples and grapes.
I love this dip! I take it to work to eat with an apple. Sometimes I can't stop after my apple is gone, and I end up eating the rest with a spoon!
I've made this several times varying the recipe and my favorite is just p.b. and yogurt. great with apples and my kids think it's a real treat!
Excellent! I was a little shy with the cinnamon at first, but don't be. Really adds that extra boost of flavor. I also mixed in a couple tablespoons of Nutella. Delish!
Addictive!!!! This stuff is too good, it's hard to walk away. I made it yesterday for the superbowl and it was incredible. It's particularly good with graham cracker sticks.
Nice dip, and really enjoyed it. Preferred a little bit more peanut butter though.
I like this dip and it has my husband eating his fruit!! I actually used Vanilla Greek yogurt. It is good for celery too!
i do not like the taste of yogurt, but have always wanted the benefits associated with it. this dip is PERFECT! slight tang, but peanut buttery. make sure you thaw the whipped topping. i didn't (i dont usually work with tubbed toppings), but it didnt effect the fluffiness too much.
I used low fat french vanilla yogurt because that is all I could find. Used 1 cup of peanut butter like other reviewers suggested. Really really yummy. Made it for my whole family and everyone raved about it. Said it was addicting! Used bananas, apples, pretzels, and graham crackers. My kids liked it too.
Very, very easy and made a great xams presentation with red and green apple slices.
