This is our favorite recipe with minimal modifications. I use 1 1/4 cups flour and when I want them to be a little less dense (rise a little) I add 1/8 cup milk. I don't beat the batter with an electric mixer. I think it turns out fine when mixed with a fork or wisk. The chocolate chips are optional, this is a great brownie without them, but if you are serving the brownies warm the melted chips are a bonus. Read More

I have to say, usually I'm the type of gal that comes on to find a recipe and instantly goes for the most/best reviewed. I had some melted butter for another recipe that didn't work out, and the butter amount matched to this so i decided to make it. WHAT A RECIPE!!!!!!!!! Perhaps it's not reviewed by over 100+ people, but my goodness what a delicious brownie recipe. It's moist and delicious, and it's a brownie that makes you feel good inside. 5/5 stars indeed. I had no unsweetened chocolate chips so i used sweetened, but just as well. I imagine it's just as delicious without double the sweet! I'll definately be taking this to the family party next week! a WINNER. Remember, just because it has a lower review, amount of views, doesn't mean it's any less delicious. Congrats on a great recipe! Read More

These brownies turned out FAN-TAS-TIC!! They were so moist and chewy, and they were the perfect balance between chocolate cake and chocolate fudge. The experts (my 4 kids!) loved them, too, so I'll be storing this recipe as my new favorite. The only change I made is that I omitted the nuts. (Not by my choice - why do kids dislike nuts??) Next time I'll make half the pan nutty and the other half nut-less for them! :) Read More

These brownies were delicious! Did not sprinkle the confectioner's sugar on them - were good without it. They were devoured in minutes. Keeper! Read More

The brownie IS fudgy, true to its name, and I like the addition of the chocolate chips for even more gooey “chocolatiness.” I also like that the recipe calls for butter which always lends superior flavor. Just a personal thing, perhaps, but I think I would prefer the lift that maybe a half teaspoon of baking powder would give this as well as a half teaspoon of salt to heighten the flavor – but that’s just being picky. I wouldn’t hesitate to make these again. Read More

These were okay. Not a lot of flavor. I prefer a more intense chocolate flavor in my brownies. Read More

I made these for the church thanksgiving dinner. They were really easy to make. It made two 9x9 pans so I brought some to a friend as well. They were gone by the end of the dinner, and my friend loved them. The only thing about them is that I found them REALLY chocolatey. Next time I will probably use half the chocolate chips. Read More
