Lime Sherbet

  1. In a bowl, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Add lemon juice and peel. Whisk in milk; mix well. Pour into an ungreased 9-in. square pan. Cover and freeze for 2 hours.
  2. Transfer to a mixing bowl; beat for 2 minutes. Return to pan. Cover and freeze for 1 hour; stir. Freeze 1 hour longer or until firm. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

This recipe is the best (times infiniti). I don't think that I'll ever have a lime sherbet as good as this one. I can't wait to try this recipe with other flavors... I wonder what it would taste...

meh. i got the ice crystal result. i will add that i used skim milk though and i think that's mostly to blame, but it still tasted so jello-y.

I loved this recipe. My daughter told me about it, and she had made it using raspberry jello with half the sugar. She also used her icecream maker. I searched my cupboard and came up with lem...

Delicous! I didn't have four cups of milk so I used 1 can of evaporated milk and the rest regular milk to make 4 cups. It turned out great.

Just a few suggestions. 1. This will not have a creamier consistency if using less than 2% milk. 2. Try substituting evaporated milk for part of the milk. 3. Decrease the sugar to about 3/...

I was not impressed with this recipe. It is much too sweet, sugar should be cut by half. Also, it takes much longer to freeze than the recipe calls for, and after freezing overnight, it become...
