  1. Place the brussels sprouts and water in a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 6-8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Combine the butter, salt, basil and pepper; drizzle over brussels sprouts and toss to coat.

I used way too much pepper because I had less than 2 lbs brussels sprouts, but the end result was nice and hearty.

It smelled great, but it tasted strange. I can't really describe what made it taste that way. My husband ate it, but we wouldn't make it again.
